Brussels-Capital Region is in the process of updating its Green Purchasing Policy applied since 2009. For three years, Brussels Environment has organised general and specific training sessions on SPP.
A network of Brussels green public procurers has been established (fr | nl). The network organises four workshops per year. It also has a website to centralise all relevant information about green procurement in general and in particular green procurement in Brussels. This includes criteria for a number of sectors, and access to a helpdesk. During the preparation of each workshop and training session, Brussels Environment is supported by experts to develop a set of criteria for each topic.
The sustainability of Brussels administrations’ procurements is evaluated every two years.
